Engineer/Project Manager Married 4
It does not seem like 50 years.  Upon graduation from W-L in 1969 I studied Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech and earned a BS and MS degree.  While at Tech I met and married my husband of 47 years.  We were fortunate to both accept jobs to work at Oak Ridge near Knoxville, Tennessee.  I worked as a design engineer, engineering supervisor, project manager, and contracts manager over the last 43 years and am considering a retirement.  Along the way I received a MBA from the University of Tennessee.  We have four sons, three daughters-in-law, and 4 grandchildren.  We enjoy travelling, keeping in touch with family and friends, and playing with our grandchildren. Happily married to my best friend, Clyde Pittard(Langley'68), whom I met at Westover Baptist Church.  We have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.   Most are close by here in New Port Richey, Florida.  We lived in Fairfax County for over 30 years until we retired to Florida in 2005.  While in Northern Virginia I taught pre-K for many years while Clyde was a Firefighter with Fairfax County.

As the mother of a special needs daughter, Katie(born with Down Syndrome), I have been actively abvocating for her and others with special needs for 36 years.

Since retiring, I am enjoying Zumba, kick-boxing(Cobra self defense), traveling, event planning and, of course, my grandchildren.

Married 2
After the Army went to work in the HVAC field. Married Carol Luckett (class of 70) and we celebrate our 45th anniversity this year.  Our greastest joys are our son and daughter and 3 of the dearest grandsons (4th and last due in October) who love their Nana so very much.  We both retired from Fairfax County and now bounching between Haymarket (a 55+ golf
coummunity where our kids live minutes away) and Colonial Beach (where we enjoy being on the water, fishing and crabbing). Still making new friends and enjoying new adventures but my W-L friends and escapades still the best.  A special shout out to Joe, Kenny, Paul and Billy who are the best friends a guy could have.

3000 plus miles is a long haul from Sacramento, CA to attend a high school reunion in Virginia.  I won't be attending but I'll say hi to Dotti Blum and Larry Grube who will be attending.
I'm especially impressed by all our classmates who've disappeared and/or aren't attending.
I hope everyone who makes the reunion has a wonderful time catching up, etc.

Economist ei.com Married 3
After graduation from W-L, I attended Dartmouth College.  I then went to graduate school at Yale University, where I earned a Ph.D. in economics.  At Yale, I met my future wife, Anne Parten, who got a Ph.D. in English.  For several years, I had a commuter marriage (I worked at the Federal Trade Commission on antitrust cases, while Anne was a college professor at Washington & Jefferson College and later at the University of New Haven).  Anne decided to change careers so we could stop commuting and start a family.  She went to UVA law school (where she was executive editor of the law review).  While she was in law school, I left the FTC and joined Economists Incorporated (a consulting firm that specializes in applied microeconomics used in litigation, policy, and regulatory matters) and taught antitrust law at Fordham Law School.  Our first son, Robert, was born in Charlottesville just before the end of law school.  Robert and Anne came to Alexandria and Anne joined the law firm of Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells).  Subsequently, we had another son (Thomas) and adopted a Russian orphan (Katya).  Anne is retired (but periodically teaches english as a second language) and I continue to work at Economists Incorporated.   Send Philip a MessageSend Philip a Message
