Psychologist/Mediator/Coach/Consultant hamlclinicalassociates.com Married 2
I recently read The Cat from Hue, a Vietnam memoir. It literally spans my W-L career. It helped me remember way-back-when and it aided me in putting myself in context. I am amazed by how little I knew back then. I’m a bit startled by how little I understood back then.

The subsequent fifty years of steps and missteps have taken me to a nicely settled place. I live in Cambridge Massachusetts. Recently, my wife, Judi, and I decided to cut back on our workloads.  So far, this has only resulted in us cramming five days of work into four – hey, it’s a process. So we continue on, Judi as an investment portfolio manager and me as a psychologist and mediator. In our spare time we enjoy life, play tennis and get together with friends.

Two sons have proven to be nice people, good citizens and pursuing meaningful work. Andy is in real estate development and management and Jeff (despite my pleadings) is a social worker. Three up-and-about grandchildren – Charlie (6), Mimi (4) and Milo (2) – teach me something new every time I’m with them.

I have had the remarkable good fortune of being self-employed since the age of 32. Benefitting from an understanding boss and aided by wonderful mentors and colleagues, I have pursued a variety of interests. In my long career, I am most proud of my pro bono work and the positive outcomes tied to my efforts.

In my private time, pursuits range from being a judge at the annual Massachusetts State Science and Engineering Fair to getting involved with the issue of low income housing.

Final note: the pictures are intended to pay homage to Mario's (Pizza). The "NOW" picture is a recently taken picture of me in the Mario's 40th anniversary (1998) t-shirt. Clearly, going to Mario's from a very early age was a "critical event" in my development.

self employed Committed Relationship 4
After graduation I attended VT for one semester and decided I had other things to do.  I went to work for myself in the mens apparel industry where I recently celebrated 50 years of self-employment. I am a great boss!  I have traveled all over the US, (2.5 million miles), and have met so many great people.

My frequent traveling with work was not kind to my marriages.  In spite of that, my children have grown-up to be wonderful, successful adults and made me a grandpa!

As some of you know, I have been fighting Leukemia for the past 8 years. That battle is ongoing.   My chemo medication caused my heart to stop on July 1, 2018 and Pat, my fiance', started CPR. (She must really love me.)  I now am the proud owner of a very expensive pacemaker!

As a result of my health issues, we have decided to retire in the next 6 months.  We are looking at homes in the Charlotte, NC area.  I am an avid golfer and I love the beach.  Hopefully we will be able to spend more time on both!

Looking forward to seeing everyone and reading your stories!

Frank

Semi-Retired Episcopal Priest Married
Went to school in Baltimore -  Towson - for two BS degrees, then to Loyola Maryland for an MA in Clinical Psychology.  Worked for two years as Coordinator for mental health services and a psychotherapist for Johns Hopkins Health Plan and then went to seminary (General Theological Seminary) in New York City in 1985.  Earned an MDiv and returned to Baltimore and was ordained in 1988, where I lived until moving to Rhode Island in 1994.  In RI I was rector of the Church of the Ascension in Wakefield for 14 years.  I've served in several different parishes since then.  I met my husband, Jim, in RI.  We've been married for 22 years. I have two grown stepchildren and four grandchildren. I've had a number of dogs and cats. Currently, we have an Italian Greyhound and two Burmese cats.   I've been fortunate to have been able to travel quite a bit in the US and abroad.  At 23 I bicycled through Scotland (including the highlands) and at 50 I biked from Fairbanks to Anchorage, Alaska, and raised $9,000+ towards research for an AIDS vaccine.  I still love to ride.. Life has been good to me - in spite of its ups and downs.

I'm on Facebook under Sandra Haines-Murdocco.  Have a great reunion.

Retired Married
Life has been an intesting journey since graduation.  After getting bachelors and masters degrees at the University of FL, had a very satisfying career at American Express as a Management Training Specialist and  at two universities as Director of Staff Development and Director of Career Services.  Enjoyed working with college students a great deal.  But the most interesting thing was starting a small business with my husband for video production to promote ecotourism and preservation of the environment around the world.  Turns out that traveling was a better education than any degree I earned.

At age 50, we came very close to moving to New Zealand.  Loved that country and its people.  Also took up playing the flute late in life, a humbling experience.  Played golf in many parts of the world and hiked all over the Rockies when we lived in Estes Park, CO. Sorry to miss you all at the reunion.  Saw many of you at the 20th.  Have a blast!

Systems Engineer Married 3
Graduated from West Point in 1972.  Got married to the former Nancy Greer in 73 and spent 3 years in the Army in Ludwigsburg, Germany (and travelling around Europe).  Came back in 76 to Fayetteville, NC for 4 years (2 in Army, 2 as a Certified Financial Planner, and got an MBA).  in 1980, we traveled to Burke, Va. where we've been since.  Started with GE Aerospace, followed by Martin Marietta, followed by Lockheed Martin.  Then when I turned 60, I retired from Lockheed and the Army Reserves, and my company was spun off to become The SI, followed by Vencore, and finally, Perspecta.  I've been basically doing systems integration for an assortment of interesting projects over the years and plan to finally retire in 2020.  I have been blessed with a beautiful wife, three children (Duke U, James Madison, and Methodist) and 8 grandchildren (ages 14 down to 2).  The picture is from the beach this past summer with my 3 granddaughters.  Send me a line if you have the time! USAF (retired) Professor (retired) Married 5
From Lou: I didn’t graduate with my class of 68. I had a strong feeling that I would be drafted so I partied my senior year away. Believing that I was more of a humanitarian than fighter, I enlisted in the Air Force. In December, while in basic training, I received my draft notification. Fathered a son (Jonathan), got married and eventually divorced.

Because my math and science scores were high, I was placed into the weather career field. I applied for the all-volunteer Weather Reconnaissance Wing. I was a crew member on WC-130 aircraft for about 4 years. I logged 43 Typhoon or Hurricane eye penetrations and countless Tropical Storm investigations. I also worked many wide, different, and classified missions. I had some combat exposure over Viet Nam. I was awarded 2 Air Medals for meritorious service. If there was a runway in the Pacific Theater, I most probably staged missions from there.

I married Sharon, the love of my life, who put up with and supported my ambitions. We just celebrated our 44th anniversary. Together we have four beautiful children: Ludwik Jr, Rachel, Sabrina and Nicholas. And, we are proud grandparents to 10 little tykes. We bought our first of many homes in Midwest City, OK.

For career progression I went to Forecaster school. My job now would be forecasting weather, issuing weather watches and warnings and many other meteorological duties until I retired. I was given an assignment to open a weather station in Misawa Japan, which I declined and then retired after 22+ years as a Master Sargeant.

While on active duty I became a professional student. I earned credits from American River College and the University of Guam. I didn’t want to jepordise not getting a college degree because I didn’t complete high school. I took the 2 classes that deprived me from my High School diploma. I forwarded my transcript to W&L and in turn got my Washington Lee High School Diploma. I earned an AS in Meteorology from CCAF followed by an AA in General Studies from Oscar Rose College. I set my sights for OTS and earned a BA from California State University, Sacramento, in Liberal Studies, Speech, and Photography. I was a whistle blower and my commander was forced to retire. When I asked for a referal to OTS from Squadron, I was denied because I “used poor judgement” when I filed the whistle blower complaint. Changed my career ambitions to be an educator. Attended Eastern Washington University and earned a BA in Education-Earth Science, Speech, and Geology. Turned around and earned a MEd in Instructional Communications. Then I started another Masters in Geology and Computer science. I was short two classes and a final project when I quit. During my education most deegrees were earned with honors. All of this education was then converted to a Professional Education Certificate, 4-12 Endorsments in Journalism, Speech, Science, Biology, Earth Science, Geography, Computer Science, Mathametics, Instructional Technology, and Computer Applications.

I started my teaching career with Jr High Earth Science and Math. Then to High School Computer Applications, Photoshop and Desktop Publishing. College courses at EasternWashington U in Geomorphology and Instructional Communications. At Spokane Community College and Spokane Falls Community College I instructed many computer applications. After almost 20 years I retired. We moved 25 miles north of Spokane to Chattaroy Wa.

I was a volunteer in many organizations for the past 50 years. I am still an active volunteer and State Certified Hunter Education Instructor (22 yrs) and a state certified Master Hunter (15 yrs).

Now I work my acerage and persue my passions in hunting, fishing, RVing, photography, and paleontology.

Pilot/Condo Maintenance Man Single
Have spent many years as a commercial pilot, and am lucky to be able to continue passing the 6 month physical exam required of that career, presently flying 10 seat charter aircraft around North America a couple weeks every month.

When home in South Florida I’m a Maintenance Guy at the 6 unit condominium building I live at, always painting something as seen here or getting ready for hurricanes.

Fellow Washington-Lee’rs Don Bell and Mike Taylor also said to say hi, they don’t do internet much.
